Shortlisted as one of the best restaurant designs in the Eat Drink Design Awards 2014, the Donna Bionda project, designed by Richards & Spence Architecture complements the original building fabric in the historic centre of Townsville in Queensland.
The concept draws on the atmosphere and aesthetic of a traditional Italian pizzeria, featuring warm, earthy, natural materials and tones. Materials such as face brick, copper and timber are used throughout the restaurant.
