Our Melbourne showroom in Collingwood will open up as part of Melbourne Indesign, so come by and visit us. You could even meet the very talented designers. As part of The Project, the 6 local designers are working on an installation representing the theme EVOLUTION that will be revealed at MID 2016.

The 6 local designers include:

Anaesthetic
Based in Sydney, Australia, Kiwi designers Ben and Kiri Wahrlich launched ANAESTHETIC in 2011. Their brand focuses on simple values: to create clever, sophisticated products that are original in design, and made to a high standard from carefully considered materials. ANAESTHETIC distinguishes itself through material selection, which is anchored by a strong understanding of engineering techniques. Ultimately, this enables both Ben and Kiri to push the creative aspect of common manufacturing processes, allowing them to create new and exciting furniture, lighting and homeware products that shift perceptions.

Anchor Ceramics
Bruce Rowe is the founder of Anchor Ceramics, a Melbourne-based design studio that operates in an applied research, prototyping and product development capacity. Rowe’s design and making expertise is central to the development of the studio’s output. The design process begins with drawings, models, maquettes and in-house prototypes. These are then developed closely with specialist ceramic and technology experts to create beautiful, handmade pieces including tiles, lighting, outdoor and furniture product lines.

ChristelH
Christel Hadiwibawa is the founder of ChristelH, a creative studio specialising in the design and creation of furniture, lighting, and conceptual design projects. Inspired by the interaction between people and functional objects, ChristelH selects materials and processes that embrace both craftsmanship and technology, resulting in captivating designs that explore notions of form, texture, scale and gravity.

Didier
The work by Didier is underpinned by a strong philosophy that manufacturing, ideas and design are interwoven - an approach to designing Didier refers to as engineered art. Heading a boutique studio. his designs span commercial high volume products through to small run custom design objects for specific projects.

LifeSpaceJourney
Justin Lamont is a self-taught designer/maker. He is one half of LifeSpaceJourney, a Melbourne-based product design and manufacturing practice launched in 2009 by brothers Justin and Glenn Lamont. LifeSpaceJourney uses locally sourced and often reclaimed materials, combining their own skills and the yesteryear skills of local craftspeople with technology to create bespoke design outcomes.

Savage Design
Founded by Joel Savage and James Groom in 2011, Savage Design is a unique homewares and metal furniture design company that gets its inspiration from architectural and industrial elements found around the world.
