CAFE CULTURE CELEBRATES AT SYDNEY INDESIGN August 2013

The Design Nation showroom was again filled with a sense of excitement and fascination as we opened our transformed Surry Hills showroom for Sydney Indesign.

Officially launching Billiani’s Inka range, the showroom was filled with high back intimate settings to lounge and enjoy elegant hospitality. Filled with Christmas trees, foliage and soft lighting, the space was bustling with attendees wanting to relax and unwind.

We also launched Italian lighting brand, Fontana Arte, new to the Design Nation collection. Yupik, Huna, Pangen, Lampara and Amax were suspended to eye level so attendees could touch and feel the materiality and form. Fun and colourful Blom lights were revealed on low side tables in the foreground of a woodlands style wallpaper, creating an intriguing ambient environment.

On Saturday the street was buzzing with attendees lining up for a hot toasty jaffle from the Jafe Jaffle Kombi van.  Inside the vibe was a little slower as guests relaxed in the high back Inka’s while sipping a French inspired cocktail of Kusmi tea, champagne and cranberries.

Also on display was the Seleri range from Zilio A&C, Miniforms, Bella wood and Lee Broom.
